ROME, N.Y. — One person died in an apartment building fire on East Dominick Street in Rome on Friday night.
Calls came in around 6 p.m. for a fire in a three story building. The first floor was an unoccupied business. The second and third floors were apartments.
The Rome assistant fire chief tells NEWSChannel 2 one person died in the fire, two others are being helped by the Red Cross while others that lived there have made other living arrangements.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
