State Fire Marshal | Date Posted: Wednesday, April 8, 2026
The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a residential fire that injured two occupants.
On April 7, 2026 shortly after 5:30 PM, a fire was reported in the 200 block of Greenwich Drive, Dover. The Dover Fire Company along with multiple mutual aid fire companies responded to the scene and found fire coming from the first floor of the occupied residence. An adult and juvenile victim were transported from the scene by Delaware State Police Aviation to area hospitals where they are listed in critical condition.
Investigators with the Delaware State Fire Marshals Office responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the origin and cause of the fire.
No other injuries were reported. Fire damage is estimated at $300,000.
