One person was killed in a house fire in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The fire was reported at approximately 3:18 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Damen Avenue near West 47th Street. According to police, an adult male was inside the house when the fire broke out. He was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
