On Monday evening, a massive fire broke out at a warehouse located on Burnmoor Street, close to the King Power Stadium in Leicester. The incident occurred at around 18:30 GMT, and emergency services responded swiftly, dispatching 13 fire crews to the scene. The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighting efforts included the use of eight breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, and two main jets. Firefighters worked relentlessly to control the flames.

Due to the scale of the fire, nearby streets, including Burnmoor Street, Filbert Street, Sawday Street, and Brazil Street, were closed to traffic, and local residents were advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure. At the time of reporting, authorities had not confirmed how many people were inside the warehouse, though one man had been rescued from the building. The fire service spokesperson indicated that they were still unsure about whether all individuals had been evacuated, and the operation to search for any remaining people continued.
