The city’s technicians are working around the clock conducting repairs at the Thokoza substation Z7 which caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday, 24 September 2025.
The city’s emergency services teams responded swiftly to extinguish the fire. Investigations as to the cause of the fire are still ongoing.
