A vehicle fire closed a portion of Shell Beach Road in Shell Beach late Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported at around 3:41 p.m. near Spyglass Drive and the entrance to Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa, located on the 2700 block of Shell Beach Road.
Firefighters said a 30-gallon tank under the back seat of the pickup truck was making the fire difficult to put out.
Engines were still arriving on scene an hour after the fire had sparked.
No word on the extent of any injuries.
