The fire was intense, prompting the Taichung City Fire Department to dispatch 10 units, including the Eighth Brigade and Dongshan Division, with a total of 21 fire trucks and 46 firefighters. Fortunately, the fire was swiftly brought under control, and there were no casualties. However, 9 electric buses were completely destroyed.
Initial estimates indicate that the fire caused approximately NT$3 million (around USD 100,000) in damages.
