On Thursday evening, a massive three-alarm fire broke out in Woodbridge, Virginia, causing severe damage to both a warehouse and a sports facility. The Prince William County Fire Department (PWCFD) responded to the blaze, which initially started as a fire at the back of a single-family home on Devil’s Reach Road. As the fire spread rapidly, a second alarm was issued, and the situation escalated to a third alarm shortly after.

The fire, fueled by dry brush and combustibles, quickly spread to a nearby Kids Choice Sports building. Fortunately, the building was not heavily occupied at the time, and reports indicated no one inside was injured. However, a Friday morning update confirmed that one employee was injured and taken to a local medical facility with a non-life-threatening injury. Three adults were displaced from the home on Devil’s Reach Road.

The blaze caused significant damage to the sports facility and home, with estimates placing the total losses at around $2 million. The general manager of Kids Choice Sports Center, Linda Bradshaw, expressed the unfortunate timing of the fire, as the facility was entering its busiest week of indoor winter sports activities.
