A large fire is raging in the industrial area of Prior Velho, near Lisbon’s international airport in Portugal.

The fire, which began around 18:00 local time, broke out in a long-term parking garage where hundreds of vehicles belonging to travelers were parked.

Local media suggest that the blaze was likely caused by an electric car.

The situation remains critical, with about 140 firefighters and 48 vehicles battling the flames by 21:00. Their main focus has been to prevent the fire from spreading further within the industrial area.
