The Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service reported that firefighting efforts included the use of eight breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, and two main jets. Due to the scale of the fire, nearby streets, including Burnmoor Street, Filbert Street, Sawday Street, and Brazil Street, were closed to traffic, and local residents were advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precautionary measure.
