A fire broke out at a one-story warehouse in Cahokia Heights, St. Clair County, Illinois, on the night of November 19, 2024, around 11 p.m. The fire fully engulfed the roof of the building, but firefighters were able to contain it before it spread further. The warehouse, which contained plywood and tires, suffered significant damage. The estimated loss is around $1.5 million. On November 19, 2024, a significant fire broke out at a one-story warehouse located on Church Road in Cahokia Heights, St. Clair County, Illinois, around 11 p.m. The fire quickly spread through the roof of the building, but thanks to the efforts of 45 firefighters<\/strong>, they were able to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring structures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warehouse, which was used for storage of plywood and tires, suffered extensive damage. Early estimates put the total loss at $1.5 million<\/strong>, which includes both structural damage and the value of the materials destroyed inside the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire’s cause is still under investigation, but the building’s contents, including large quantities of tires and plywood, likely contributed to the fire’s rapid spread. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it caused even more extensive damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
