Authorities issued a preventive confinement notice, advising residents between Vimont Rue, Hochelaga Rue, Haig Avenue, and the Saint Lawrence River to close doors and windows and stay indoors. About 100 residents were evacuated, and firefighters fully extinguished the fire by 3 AM with no injuries reported. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
