A fire broke out Saturday at the Entergy substation on Springridge Road.
Workers say the blaze started when a reactor failed due to old wiring. Workers also said the fire is not expected to affect power service. Crews allowed the flames to burn out before beginning replacement work on the damaged equipment.
No injuries have been reported.
