YORK COUNTY, Va. — Fire crews responded to a house fire Saturday morning in the Seaford area of York County.
According to the York County Department of Fire and Life Safety, the fire happened around 11 a.m. in the 800 block of Dandy Loop Road for a report of a fire. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the home’s attached garage.
Officials said no one was home at the time of the fire, which was reported by a neighbor. The fire was contained to the garage, and there was no damage to the home’s living space. A pet rabbit inside the structure was found safe.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the department’s Fire Prevention Division.
