This device regulates the voltage after it is reduced from 35,000 volts to 4,000 volts for residential use. Fortunately, power was quickly restored by 2:20 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clintonville Utilities Manager Dave Tichinel addressed the Clintonville Common Council on August 13, revealing that the exact cause of the explosion might never be determined. The explosion, though contained, led to immediate and intensive emergency responses. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) was notified, and the city had to hire a specialized hazmat cleanup team to manage the aftermath, including disposing of gravel and oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
