In an urgent response, she grabbed a pot of water and ran back to the bedroom, but by the time she returned, the fire had already reached part of the closet and some clothing.
The fire caused an estimated property damage of $10,000. Although the quick action of Acciavatti’s wife helped prevent further spread, the incident demonstrates how dangerous and unpredictable lithium battery fires can be, especially when the battery is not in use. The explosion caused a significant fire risk, which could have been much worse if not for the timely intervention.
