FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — One man is dead, and another was injured after a house fire on the northeast side Friday morning.
Firefighters were called to a house in the 2600 block of Baughman Avenue in Mifflin Township just before 7 a.m.
Mifflin Township Chief Brian Dunlevy said neighbors saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the first floor of the house.
One of the men was out of the house but suffered burns. He was treated at the scene, Dunlevy said.
The other man was found dead on the first floor.
Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire. The cause is under investigation.
